Specify a storage box around the packed chafing dish, not its catalog footprint. Lids, frames, pans, fuel holders, and loose fittings create different contact points during transport.
Measure the Packing Configuration
Arrange every included part in its intended order, add the required separators, and measure the finished pack. Check the opening, internal height, lifting access, and whether staff can return each component without forcing the lid.
Control Contact and Movement
Keep polished surfaces from rubbing hardware, isolate loose parts, and support shapes that could distort under stacking. Materials against stainless steel should be clean and dry, with moisture able to escape before storage.
Write a Repeatable Packing Map
Record box dimensions, component order, separator locations, orientation, lifting points, and approved contents. A good box is not merely large enough; it keeps the same parts separated and immobilized every time the chafer is packed.
